Haunted Attractions: More than what they seem?

Kansas City has experienced a lot of strange and unnerving events in 2024, and this is the place to discuss them.

So thanks to a certain someone for posting about his new purchase it sounds like we have a synopsis for the Haunt portion of this experience.

Haunted Houses aka Haunts can be an extremely powerful and special place beyond the walls, special effects and even the actors and staff. Sometimes the energy created by all those who are a part of it or who participate can create lasting effects. What do I mean by that? Sometimes it can attract paranormal activity or an overwhelming emotional energy.

As an example I used to be a scare actor in a Haunt that was based off of 28 Days Later/ 28 Weeks Later as a Hospital in a small town overrun by infected. The building we were in was the old 3D motion ride and was completely converted for the attraction. We really put our hearts, blood sweat and tears into it the first few years and you could feel it when you walked in, even if you were there in the day. There were later reports of dark shadows being seen and props turned on with the power completely shut off. I warned people that this attraction was a monster of its own and would chew you up and spit you out. Those who disregarded that warning either were scared out of their wits and would not return or would feel like they were constantly being watched. I gave the attraction the respect due, never met harm, had great success and ended up being it’s final supervisor. After that I told it it’s time to move on as the attraction would not be back and it finally moved on. No further reports of activity.

So now that we know that the Redcurves Family ran the Haunts in KC and they’re coming back to their land they are more than likely coming to reclaim the power that was once theirs. That’s my theory anyway. This could be huge.

I worked at a haunted house in my local area for two years; the owner got arrested and the haunt got shut down... it happened years ago

We had two mazes the first year I worked there, and three mazes the second year: a "manor", a "clown house", and a "blackout maze" added the third year (the blackout maze was pitch black, namesake). During the second year, actors assigned to the blackout themed maze would bring up feeling a presence within the newly added maze -- that it was haunted, and Something was watching them. Your post reminded me of that.

Now I'd hate to speculate, but... wouldn't it be funny if the Redcurves were dead and ended up being brought back to life by the Witch? Or were ghosts with 'unfinished business' who seek vengeance? Even better! What if Dan's a Redcurve with *Family Trauma* and now regrets allowing the Elites into his business? /joking
from dust we were created, to dust we shall return.

Honestly I was also thinking something along the lines of the Redcurves family being dead or something too. I definitely could see it
chose to be exiled. #karaokefinalgirl

You might be on to something Lex. I wouldn’t doubt either theory honestly.

Could be a whole quest for eternal life thing run by the ultra rich, looking for places to perform blood rituals to keep the “family” going.
