The pickles are nagging me, but for no good reason.
They don’t appear in the bible.
Possible link to the burger comment (what meat is in a $250 burger?), but probably nothing.

This is interesting. Maybe Mr.Nobody is the woman you met, using an alias for whatever reason? Or maybe Mr.Nobody really is "nobody" and represents the crew as a whole. So many options and either direction I'm intrigued.someguyinKC wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 1:09 pmNothing definitive on Mr. Nobody. I'm thinking that may just be an official admin, NPC type thing. The only place I saw that name was on the email with the waiver and the waiver was all that was in the email.
Were you present for the "non-threatening" forum discussion yesterday that was deleted? If so, did you meet anyone with an attitude similar to Opulens potentially?

I didn’t catch that thread, unfortunately. What I’ve seen of Opulens is that, yeah he can be a bit direct, but he’s been helpful too. Kinda gives me the same vibes as actor 2, the guy in the backseat with the camerahaleywilde wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 5:55 pm This is interesting. Great write ups, everyone that got to attend last night. Super jealous.
The separation of class lines up with the vibe of the Insta and takeover. Mr. Nobody and the higher class had to stoop so low to show those poor lower class showrunners how to actually throw an event. Coming in and eradicating the poor grammar, misspellings, and cheap gifts. Making sure to rub Dan's face in it while they're at it. Even going so far as to making Dan give his shirts then immediately upstaging him with cash. Cash is king after all. There are some major humiliation and dominance mechanics at play. They are enjoying the fact that they are needed.
The other thing that stuck out to me was the finance questions. I wonder if part of it is just to signal that the experience is now higher class and will cost a premium ($250) and to start saving like you were taught. What each of you do with the cash also will likely come back into play. Whether you are able to have the power to save the cash for the event, and if not I'm sure Mr. Nobody will take the opportunity to hold that over an individual.

From the deleted thread, he's very sassy. Definitely direct, but with an attitude. He lured us in with the promise of a "non-threatening" conversational thread and then surprised us all with some pretty intense roasts. For example, he came for me about my lack of capitalization and grammar mistakes. He also told us to ask him questions but then refused to answer anything about himself and lightly mocked someone who was trying to get to know him deeper. It was very entertaining, but definitely harsh from a personality standpoint considering this was our first impression hahasomeguyinKC wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 6:11 pmWhat I’ve seen of Opulens is that, yeah he can be a bit direct, but he’s been helpful too.haleywilde wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 5:55 pm This is interesting. Adding to this theme, I mentioned above that Opulens made fun of me for not capitalizing my forum posts to him. Going to add quotes from that interaction as it is now deleted:wintermvte wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 6:29 pm Coming in and eradicating the poor grammar, misspellings, and cheap gifts.
Me: "would just like to say that i'm a big fan of your attitude, opulens. i think we may be good friends."
Opulens: "I'm a big fan of proper capitalization and grammar. Blessings."
Me: "I guess the 'temporary' part of the non-threatening chat was accurate."
Opulens: "You didn't have to re-confirm that you find good grammar to be threatening. I like you too. Haley"
There is definitely a theme happening and I think it for sure plays into the class level discrimination, etc. that we've all been pointing out.

Likes things to be proper. Demeaning when given the chance to be. The short, sarcastic “blessings” as a sign off.
Opulens, are you the woman that instructed me to tell them that you’ve arrived?

Wanted to quickly add since Opulens did give a go ahead to share everything. Had a rather embarrassing interaction at first through insta(didn't know about the forum) where the account said I was "very chatty" and "unfortunately we do not have any time to chat, perhaps you'd prefer the Forum, linked on our site" Didn't think anything of it until looking back at the messages which ended in "blessings" so I'm assuming through the insta I was talking to Opulens since Opulens has been responding with blessings in this forum. I'm also starting to wonder if Opulens is also not a single person since some of the responses sound different than the small interaction I had. This could also be because the first interaction was before the takeover but if we're going by Mr. Nobody potentially being a group of people then Opulens could also be Mr. Nobody. Not sure.

I am starting to wonder about Mr. Nobody. They seem to be behind the mysterious calls and emails a few people have received. Maybe Mr. Nobody is the person handling the non-public-facing contacts. It is possible that it could be a few people who work for Exiled and have clearance for that sort of contact.acidstads wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 7:54 pm Wanted to quickly add since Opulens did give a go ahead to share everything. From our interactions with Opulens, they seem pretty sassy, so it does sound like the same person you were dealing with on Instagram. I like to think they are the social media and community manager for Exiled, mainly handling broad communications with us, while Mr. Nobody handles the more person-to-person conversations.
Either way, nice to have you here!!
I figured out how to edit this

Washing of dirty feet is a part of multiple religions and specifically is mentioned multiple times in the bible. Although the context does work against the classist themes at play.
Washing feet is done as humility and to humble ones self. It is also done as a form of hospitality.

It's just me jumping to conclusions why someone would be barefoot. But only one person (the driver?) had no shoes on…so less sacred ground…more sacrifice/punishment perhaps? The questions seem to have been quite related to wealth/generosity…perhaps the driver was evidencing his faith?

The driver was the only one that gave off “family that lives in the woods” vibes. Maybe the elites just recruited him to be their driver?iambalrog wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 5:54 pmBut only one person (the driver?) had no shoes on…so less sacred ground…more sacrifice/punishment perhaps? This just sparked a thought about the barefoot thing, maybe it could be some kind of initiation into the group. We know that the driver was not as talkative and less in control so maybe that's part of it you just have to go around barefoot for a few days doing whatever they want to prove your loyalty (sources: mostly thin air)

Forgive my silence, I've only perused here once it started and just now getting to the boards. But seeing as we've been given the direction from Opulens to share everything, I may as well get involved and make this rabbithole a little wider and deeper. I quick up-to-date. I've been contacted by phone twice. The first time was my invitation, but I was at work and live 2+hours away, work earlier in the day following and so I had to decline. I was promised by the man on the phone that I would be met with more opportunities. Today, after fumbling my phone to answer it, well I'm sure you've all heard it: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9G36vXR ... BmcXNsdA==
For clarification, I have bought several wonderful pieces from DLB via atticacquisitions lately. And despite the debts I was accumulating, wanted to support him and snag that mystery box #1. The parts you'll appreciate: a book called "the Occult
World" by AP SINNETT and a 1936 copy of "The Sacred Tarot" no.33 released by the Church of Light/Brotherhood of Light. The latter contains some hand written notes and the back features a diagram. How relevant it is may take some approval...er, "blessings", but it is midnight and I'll just have to post more later.
