You underestimate my commitment and hunger for knowledge.
I made an offer and you accepted. Seems I did not underestimate you, Dream Caboose Zero Four.
I shall make some preliminary arrangements and will be in touch soon.
Bright Blessings.

Opulens, what’s the difference between blessings and bright blessings?

You underestimate my commitment and hunger for knowledge. Caboose04 is simply a reminder of my past. You can call me Dream Pendulum if you don't fancy the numbers.
What is the charity of your choosing? I have some stipulations myself. My donation amount is not to be announced publicly in association to me and I would like to do it under your name.
Pleasure to make your acquaintance too.
I should also give respect to you, as well. Both for calling what felt like a bluff, AND being very cool about it and making it a donation from opulens. Class all the way around.

You have begun.
To meet us, will require a journey.

A physical journey? Or a mental one?
Either way, you have our willingness, attention, and thirst for knowledge.

I suppose we should all invest in some St. Christopher’s emblems.

I feel like you mean more than just physically, as the need to be in KC feels like the basic requirement. I assume you mean it metaphorically or mentally or spiritually or, as evidenced by the first deleted participant, endurance-wise.
Good Goddess, the people in KC really don't know what's coming. Sorry, what has already arrived. Want to stay on messaging.

You are all addicted to finding Mandelbrot patterns in your cheese.
Sometimes, a rabbit hole is just the road home to bed.

Listen opie, we can’r control what our brains hyperfixate on when something like this comes out.
Yes… we’re all addicted… because this gives us dopamine to get through the mundane.

True statement, opulens. I think quite a few of us are pareidolic, apophenic or both. How we got that way is debatable but not deniable.
Also good wisdom, as well, if a little weirdly phrased.

Blessings to you, whomever you turn out to be.
I am merely someone at the edge,
Gazing through the haze of a world I do not know,
Into eyes of strangers I will never see again,
Smiling as they pass, and wondering where they go.
I'm one of those people at the edge,
Drifting through the hours of a life you'd never choose,
Laughing at a crucible I set up for myself,
Burning midnight oil like sleep's an option I refuse.
I am just a person at the edge,
Standing by an animal that's finally at peace,
Resting for a moment in the warmth of what we did,
Hoping that it mattered in the eyes of those we lost.
We are all just lurking on the edge,
Peering over balconies at magic down beneath,
Sharing precious seconds of the finite lives we lead,
Crying as we pass, and wondering where we'll meet.

That was a surprisingly beautiful poem, Opulens. Surprising not because of its beauty or structure or tone--all of those are true, however.
Surprising as in unexpected. While I don't claim the poem was meant for me (or me only, in best case,) thank you. The greatest response I can give is that I am not even choosing to search it for "clues". I am just accepting. Sometimes that is the best choice.
Profound Blessings.

It was for you. It was for all who arrive here, new and old.
Whatever one sees in the reflection, they are allowed to believe was the true intended meaning.
Blessings.

Opulens, what is your profile picture? It reminds me of a video game called "control" - but is it from something in particular?

Hello Chelsea. I chose it from an artist’s gallery and sadly lost the original link. Perhaps I will change it.

speaking of profile pictures, I don't know how I juuuust realized that the maximum file size was 111x111
I was wondering why I had to compress my photo so damn much... clever, clever
