Mr. Nobody and friends (or foes)

Just wanted to start a discussion on those we have met so far! First was "DAN", though I missed some of that if anyone wants to fill me in? And now we have "MR. NOBODY."

Both Dan and Mr. Nobody have contacted at least two participants (that we know of). What do we know about them so far?

Dan is one of the owners of Exiled, lover of chainsaws and weed wacking, foe only to spelling. He made a few posts this past week on the exiled Instagram that seemed to be trying to promote interaction by running giveaways but there were quite a few typos and we saw DLB disapprove of some of the posts before they were removed from the account and apologized for at the launch last night and I think that's about all we know so far

Dan Scott presumably, partnered to Jen? Run Exiled the haunt, must have met Darren and IIIexperience and decided to collaborate? Kansas locals.
The ‘vibe’ Dan seemed to give wasn’t as ominous as DLB, whereas we know this stuff can get pretty serious.

The only info so far is that he was the contact for at least one participant to set up a meeting tonight at 8, contacted them by phone and email

I am one of the participants :) my name is Campbell or Cammie for short. I am the one that posted the original update post with the phone call and email deets.

I have only been contacted by Mr. Nobody. Have no clue who Dan is. I saw the weedwhacking tho. Seemed pretty legit.

Meeting tonight at 8PM at a location I cannot share. But excited for what’s to come.

So, we didn't get much info on "Mr. Nobody", except he appears to be working for a "Mysterious Upper Class Lady" and he's into religion.

Just wanna mention that Actor 2, aka guy in the backseat with the camera, definitely SOUNDED like Mr. Nobody. But then again he did chuckle when someguyinkc asked if he was Mr. Nobody. Soooo.....

In other words, I'd be SHOCKED at this point if Mr.Nobody was just some guy

Yeah I'm of the belief that Mr. Nobody is probably misdirection/deception. Anybody can be a nobody and nobody can apply to a group of people as opposed to just one person. So we have Dan, Opulens, Mr Nobody, the Woman, and others. Maybe Mr. Nobody is everyone outside Dan. We have Dan's name but we don't have the names of any of the others. No names, nobody. Opulens is user name but not a real name. Maybe Mr. Nobody is the group diametrically opposed to Dan like a foil? I'm definitely spit balling here.

And I think Mr. Nobody might be an actual somebody. Some single individual who sits above everyone we've seen so far. Some nefarious Bond villain. Some Dr. Evil wanna-be who is issuing orders and stroking his cat while he reads everything, secure in his knowledge that no one can find him, because he is "Nobody."

Or maybe he's just nobody.

So not sure if anyone's noticed yet or did I miss it and that's why this was made. If you click on someone's profile you have 2 options. Add friend or add foe. Anyone know what it does yet?

We did some digging earlier. "Friend" makes it so that their posts appear sooner than anyone else's. "Foes" is a way to soft block, but on this forum. Basically their posts won't be a priority and you will see them later if not last, compared to everyone else's.

I wonder if having someone as a foe is more than just soft blocking but almost puts a target on that person? It could be a mechanic to the experience itself.

Exactly my thoughts. I'm thinking its' usage will become more helpful as we try to weed out potential plants or people that are foes in the game...like picking sides essentially.

Oh yeah that's a really good point. Weed out the people who may try and lead us astray.

I'm not so sure. Maybe, but the "friends and foes" section in phpBB forums has been around since at least 2008. Seems like it comes stock when you create your own forum using phpBB.

Would be an interesting mechanic, though...
