As we are approaching “the end”, I wanted to see if we could compile our theories and evidence into a thread, in terms of what this actually is.
I’ll go first as I think I know why we, as participants, are necessary to this. It’s probably obvious but it may help having it written down.

THEORY:
Our purpose for being there is to provide emotional energy
EXPLANATION:
The more emotional energy that you can put into a spell or ritual working, the stronger and more effective it will be
EVIDENCE:
Redcurves
- Dorothea talks a lot about the pleasure he gets from seeing people experience joy, eg a young man who was full of bravado but ended the night having the best time as a unicorn
- Dorothea spoke about the fear reactions on the trail, the laughter that is real because it continues even after they have left the trail
- Dorothea takes our emotions into himself during the Earth Mother ritual - he doesn’t do this for everyone, just particular people he has chosen (possibly because of the intensity of their emotions)
- The story of each Redcurve family member is “designed” to evoke an emotional reaction
- The witch encourages us to dig deep and face our shadow selves
Elites
- The Opulence Tent is designed to elicit darker emotions: eg humiliation, sexual desire, hunger for power
- The Elites inside the tent and their altars representing sins - sins can also be interpreted as emotions
- The Elites outside the tent, eg Lauren who upon sensing a desirable emotion, places her hand over your mouth and takes that into herself
SUMMARY:
They may use different techniques and harvest different types of emotions, but both the Elites and the Redcurves are creating emotional fuel for the fire
