True enough. Silence exists in the breath before a scream.

Speech is silver.
A pause is diamond.
But silence has never betrayed me.

In the most common interpretation of cryptic messages like this, I hope all are healthy and well.

Then you have never had the right/wrong type of silence.

Silence is more than the absence of sound. It is a blanket that can cover the worst possible deeds. It is the pause before the axe strikes bone. It is the fear on a face before the slap hits. It is the moment before someone breaks your heart and tells you they don't want you any more.

It can be deafening and far, far louder than any noise.

I fear silence very, very much. Because it is the calm before the ever growing storm. And it can fall at any moment--today, this weekend, the moment I post this comment.

I don't fear those moments. Those moments taught me an invaluable lesson in perspective. In loss. In acceptance. In carrying on and survival. The silence afterward is respite. Reflection. The silence never betrayed me. Others did. The silence was there to welcome me. To remind me what I endured.
You fear anticipation. Build up to downfall. Regret. The unknown. You attribute the silence to those things, but they're not the cause. They're in it's company.

Then you are lucky. Not all of us have your experience with silence.

Again, I am happy for your experience. Some of us have seen the difference. The silence, itself, is the pain. The others are the byproduct of what comes before.

The silence can, most definitely, be the cause.

You will find out soon enough how correct your statement is.

Your private spaces are silent to all. From the outside, you have stopped talking. Some of you know better. We are so very tired of having to teach you this.

Do you not learn? Are encountering locked doors the only way to help you evolve?

Meanwhile, can you spot why we did not get notified of this incredible display?

What a silly mistake; Are you nervous, Kaylyn?

Another portmanteau! Surely you can’t blame her for being excited about exiled.

A shame she had no way to reference the spelling. No matter, we will take good care of her tomorrow.

See I just knew you were a little extra rough with me. Yes I was most definitely excited about getting that posted for your approval.

No miss. Far from it. I paused when I noticed your discomfort and that is why you walked with me, to help you refocus and control your breathing, and not gift us your stomach acid.

Blessings.
