SPOILERS - 10/26 Key Details - Campbell

- The witch took me aside and basically told me that you can't trust anyone in the carnival. She's said you can't trust ANYONE in the carnival, to which I interpreted that as I can't trust any of the elites, can't trust the redcurves. She told me that I can trust whoever's loyal to me. She essentially gave me the guidance of, I need to take off my “mask” and I need to take off the masks of the others out there.

- I still think that there is some form of being brainwashed happening. Or that has happened.

- During the opulence tent section, it was either Stephanie or someone else that had told me that deep down, I was an elite. That that is why my picture was still in the tent.

- Matt, Kevin, and Isaiah were basically chosen to be elites. We were given instructions to act like one. we were in the elite tent basically being elites and acting as such, telling the other participants what to do.

- at one point, Buck and Dorothea barged in and tried to steal Kevin and Matt and they ended up getting Matt, but Kevin stayed in the elite tent, even after lily came in a second time and reprimanded him and tried to take him.

- in the tent, a beautiful woman dressed in black and came up to me: I asked her if we met and she informed me that she was dymuntz!! I didn’t get long to speak to her but she did have me drink something with her and she did inform me that she was an elite, unlike opulens who was a free spirit. So not much information gleaned from her but it was great to finally meet her.

- at one point during the opulence tent portion, Stephanie had me and Isaiah take something from the offering table and put it on one of the elites pedestals. I chose Kassidy’s bracelets and put them on Lazarus’ pedestal, as a way to remember her but also I feel that Lazarus would have appreciated it.

- each of the elites have a pedestal, and to my knowledge, Delilah’s pedestal has a pink mask on it and attributes hers to lust. Lucius has one that I can’t remember specifically what is on it. Nathaniel has one with different trinkets and witchcraft-y things on it, and Lazarus has one with scales and books relating to the devil and religion on it. I didn’t get a chance to figure out everyone else’s.

- Lazarus took me at one point and told me that me and blondie are one of the few people that get to see his softer side. But he reminded me that deep down, he has a much darker side.

Another thing I forgot to mention. At one point, I found Damien. He was clearly in distress, and I asked him what was wrong. He told me that he could feel this weird presence radiating from the general direction of the trail, specifically referencing the chapel area with the witch. I asked him what he was feeling, and he said he was feeling hearing and seeing visions of his grandfather. If I remember correctly, it was visions of his grandfather, dying, or being killed. I asked him if anything made it better or worse, and he could not think of anything. yesterday, when I found him, he pulled out the stone that I gave him from the witches altar, and he said it made him feel better.

In my conversations with the witch, I also forgot to mention that in the warehouse that one night with me and Matt and Kassidy and Clara and everyone else, she said that the only two people that picked the wrong bucket were me and Matt. Because we had picked the bucket to send a message to a friend. If I can remember this conversation correctly, she mentioned that the purpose was not to express our loyalty to each other, although still very important, it was to be loyal to ourselves and to reveal ourselves as we really are.

At one point on Friday, me and Pia were talking to Brad. Well, it wasn’t that we were having a conversation, we were more so talking at Brad. He didn’t say anything, but we said something funny and it made him break. He had to excuse himself as me and Pia laughed it off. He then came by later on and reprimanded us and told us that that could not happen again where he broke. Although I didn’t think much of it in the moment and I thought it was just a silly little thing that it happened, when I think about what the witch told me about taking everyone’s mask off, is it possible that that could be the goal that we need to accomplish here? To get to see who people really are instead of this facade that they’re putting up, to truthfully get to know each and every single one of the people here and take their mask off And see who they are underneath? If we’re going off of the theory that this is just gonna continue to be super meta, I think there might be something there.

On Friday, Damien told me that one of the stones (I think it was the black one, not the white one) was what his family mines back home. He said he left it at the Elites' compound but could hear it whispering his name. He didn't believe any of the Elites' mystical stuff, but hearing that made him question that. And that he might have power than he thought. In the absence of the stone, he only felt better in a group of Elites.

He said the Elites are using those stones as some sort of offering. He was bitter about that because they're his family's stones.

He also says he feels powerless at the altar.

On Saturday, I recall Damien talking briefly about going to the witch to get his black stone exchanged for a different white stone, which is apparently a blessed stone. I don't know what any of that really means since it was mostly you guys' conversation, but it stood out to me as something new.

It was new. He has business up at that altar. He said he seems powerless up there, and I get the impression everybody is — so it might be a place that yields interesting conversations.

Although I didn’t think much of it in the moment and I thought it was just a silly little thing that it happened, when I think about what the witch told me about taking everyone’s mask off, is it possible that that could be the goal that we need to accomplish here? To get to see who people really are instead of this facade that they’re putting up, to truthfully get to know each and every single one of the people here and take their mask off And see who they are underneath? If we’re going off of the theory that this is just gonna continue to be super meta, I think there might be something there.

THIS. This is exactly how I’ve been feeling and the energy I have been putting into my conversations. In being open and authentic, I have tried to provide a space for them to do the same. I have worked hard to build trust… I’ve seen some real vulnerability come through, and have offered my support and trust.

Lazarus asked if I had always been gullible, but I don’t think I am.

I would rather that my legacy was in helping others take their first steps towards healing (as Lily, Dorothea, and the witch have helped me take mine), than to be the one who figured everything out.
